7–22 February 2026, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Winter holiday programme ‘Our Earth is alive!’
Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes show that our Earth is alive. Because it is in motion, it constantly forms minerals and rocks and also destroys them again. With the help of this cycle, you can classify minerals and rocks, determine their age or origin.
Our holiday programme guides you through our exhibition, including the interactive ‘Research Expedition’ laboratory.
The holiday programme is an open offer for the whole family in the form of a scavenger hunt.
It is included in the admission price. You can start it individually according to your own schedule.
The holiday programme ‘Our Earth is Alive!’ takes place daily during the Saxon winter holidays, Monday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The programme does not take place as a guided tour at fixed times.
Suitable for children aged 7-12; younger children need the help of their parents, grandparents or siblings.
Registration is not required. After-school care centres and children's groups are requested to register.
Further information is available from Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. at the information desk on 03731 394654 or at fuehrungen@terra-mineralia.de.
