188. Freiberger Kolloquium

Lecture: "Mining under Freiberg's inner city - current redevelopment of the Rothschönberger Stolln between Reiche Zeche and Drei-Brüder-Schacht".

The lecture will present the work currently underway to rehabilitate the Rothschönberg adit in the section between the "Reiche Zeche" shaft and the "Drei-Brüder-Schacht" shaft. The access points to the gallery are the "Drei-Brüder-Schacht" (Three Brothers Shaft) in the south and the "Rote Grube" (Red Pit) shaft in the city centre, near the bus station. The speaker will present the background, the scope of the project and the current challenges. By means of many photographs of the ongoing work, the guests will get an impression of the working conditions and work processes underground as well as the challenges and technical solutions during the rehabilitation measure.

Dipl.-Ing. Sirke Beuermann studied geotechnics and has been a technical officer in the old mining department of the Saxon Upper Mining Authority since August 2021. He is the responsible project manager for the measure and thus responsible for the implementation on the client side.
